We plan and provide a range of play activities, which help children to make progress in each of the areas of learning and development. In some of these activities children decide how they will use the resources and in others an adult takes the lead in helping the children take part. We focus on introducing them to new experiences and helping them to gain new skills, as well as supporting them to learn to work with others.
Outdoor activities contribute to children's health, their physical development and their knowledge of the world around them. The children have the opportunity throughout the session to take part in outdoor child-chosen and adult-led activities, as well as those provided in the indoor area. For most of the session the children are able to move freely between the indoor and outdoor areas.
A healthy nutritious snack is provided during the session and the children are encouraged to decide when they are ready to join others at the snack table (any allergies or dietary requirements please tell us about.) Lunch and snack are a social time allowing children and adults to engage in conversation.
